Onion and Horseradish in the Treatment of Sinus Infection

Sinus infection, also known as sinusitis, can cause swelling or inflammation of the inner wall of the nasal cavity. Sinus infections are common, usually after viral, bacterial or fungal infections, which can destroy the inner walls of the nasal cavity. Breathing through the nose can become difficult or uncomfortable when sinus infections occur. Symptoms are similar to colds, usually including runny nose or stuffy nose and facial pain. If Your Doctor confirms that you have sinusitis, onions and horseradish are family therapies that can help clear your nasal cavity.

onions have antimicrobial effect on sinus infection, which is very useful for the treatment of sinus infection. For mild sinus infections, inhaling the odor of freshly chopped onions may clear the nasal cavity. However, the sulfur released by chopped onions can make your eyes ache. To avoid this, slice the onions and put them in a pot of boiling water. Let the onions boil for five minutes, scoop some in the cup, and inhale the fragrance to help relieve congestion or runny nose. Drink while it's hot, if you like the taste of onions, because hot liquids also help clear sinuses. Any type of onion works, but the most fragrant variety is the best. Brown, white and red onions have the strongest odors and may remove sinus infections more quickly than other onions. Horseradish has a high sulfur content in sinus infection and can produce antibiotic effect, which is helpful to treat the symptoms of sinus infection. Put horseradish in your mouth until its taste disappears, which helps clear nasal mucus. Fresh ground horseradish is best for this purpose. Start with a small pinch of ground horseradish; if it doesn't work, increase it to 1 teaspoon for maximum impact. Once the taste of horseradish disappears, swallow it to clear mucus from the back of your throat. Horseradish is the most effective treatment for sinus infections. The treatment of onion and horseradish should combine the characteristics of onion and horseradish to alleviate the symptoms of sinus infection and boil the two ingredients in a small amount of water. Use about 1/4 cups of onions and 1/8 cups of ground horseradish and 1 cup of water. Boil the material for no more than 5 minutes, then pour the liquid into the filter. For five minutes, SIP onions and horseradish tea to clear mucus and relieve sinus pressure. Repeat as needed, up to four times a day. If you don't mind the taste of onions and horseradish, eat solids filtered out of the liquid. Chewing raw onions and horseradish may yield greater benefits because sulfur is more potent before boiling the raw material.

Do not attempt to treat sinus infection by yourself without consulting a doctor beforehand. Ask him for advice on home care and the use of onions and horseradish. If sinus infection lasts for more than 10 days, please make an appointment with a doctor.
